It’s always best to raise the issue of the client’s branding if it’s looking a little tired, before commencing any other design. It was clear that the new website would benefit from a even a small identity/branding refresh. The swoosh was a given and had to stay but there were still improvements that could be made. brighter, more definite colour, more consistent forms [rounded], modern fonts to go with the more modern mark and more modern look that the site needed in its re-design. The logo was simplified, strengthened with a better balance. Once we had that the website design started – taking its cues from the branding and target audience. Professional, but friendly.
